Sculptures by the Sea 2022
Returning after two Covid afflicted years, the walk from Bondi to Tamarama Beaches offers a thoughtful exploration of concepts and reflections on society as well as the social consequences of Covid.
Also some very clever use of materials-metals, plastic, wood....
It's a Friday buty this exhibition ends next week so I sacrificed the Friday kayak trip for it.
The blue straws are titled 'sea life' reflecting ocean pollution in coral shape--simple but effective and the bits of chair like wood on rocks is titled 'flotsam takes root'
The natural wind-eroded rocks make a natural sculpture of their own
The figures in the chicken wire cages represent 'social distancing'.
