Sculptures by the sea 2012
Each year in Sydney there is an outside exhibition of sculptures between Tamarama and Bondi Beaches. This year the surf conditions were rough and a number of on-duty and alert life-guards were attentively surveying the surfers! The pic of the surfer at the end is real--not a sculpture.
How did they get the brick egg in the steel egg?
The 'blue man' was titled 'optimist'. The bending man is made entirely of large staples, from a staple gun and the cleverest one, I think, were the rectangular mirror columns which blended with the sand.
The 'frog on bike' is solar powered and the face appearing through the coloured strips is daughter Caryl. A young man posed with the 'optimist' picture as a living example of 'optimism'!
