We started at Tamarama, where we picnicced,   with cousin John, Penny and their daughter Anna and Adam and their two small sons, James and Thomas.

This is just a selection of the more 'photogenic' ones.

The inclement weather kept the crowds away, which also meant that more 'colourful' spectators were also absent! There were a lot of school groups. There also seemed to be fewer entries than past years.

The variety of materials used was wide-ranging--not all hard' steel and stone. The one with the round reflective column was particularly clever--see if you can work out why!

'Snakes and Ladders' was fairly easy to spot
