Balmeanach

The morning was taken up with a drive to the end of another peninsular, passing some rivers and waterfalls, also the Skye Mountain rescue centre.

The afternoon, we visited the only distillery on Skye, Talisker, which just happens to be in our village! We saw the whole process and ended with a sampling, of course. It's an incredibly remote place for a distillery and most freight movements are by boat, to Glasgow.

Dr Johnson visited there and said that any day it didn't rain, was because they were having a storm instead!
