Sleat

On a day which started with some sun but progressed to drizzle, we toured the Sleat region. Again, the scenery did not disappoint. The region has many undulating short hills and very picturesque coastline, a ferry terminal to the mainland and the moss-covered skeleton of a 'mythic sea beast' related to Nessie, which is written up in Wikepedia, no less.

Some nice gift shops--one called 'Grumpy George' which he isn't, a ruined castle--see if you can spot it and some very attractive  beach stones.
