I thought I knew this area.

Today we took UK friends Sandy and Norman to John and Penny's house, (where John made us tea and fed us cake), to see their 100 year-old mountain house, then on to 'Anvil Rock' where a real blacksmith anvil (!?) is bolted to the highest point over the Grose Valley (Sandy's father was a blacksmith) then on to a magnificant wind-eroded cave, some wildflowers on the way, then  to Pulpit Rock.

Finally to Katoomba to the scenic route and the cable car entrance, where there are striking sculptures of aboriginal black magic dancers, depicted as 'three sisters'
