Sunday around Dalston
We spent a lot of the day with Michael around his Dalston flat.
He took us to 'The Pub on the Park' for a true British Sunday roast beef lunch.
London has many fashionable 'squares' --this small one is Albion Square.
We walked along Regent Canal for a short distance
and saw a group of kayakers being taught to stand up in their kayaks!!
One adult actually fell in to the heavily polluted water--yuk. Our own Hacking river seems like paradise by comparison. The bike hire is still very popular.
In London Fields Park there is an area devoted to English wildflowers, an idea promoted by Prince Charles, who is also trying to raise architectural standards in Britain.
We always have an eye out for older post boxes. This one in Forest Hill dates back to Queen Victoria --V R.
