Sutherland Shire Council Citizen Awards

Five of our Venture Scouts were nominated for awards, which is excellent, but it takes more than one year of nomination to get selected. So I was there to support their effort--better luck next time round!

The adult Citizen of the Year award went to an acquaintance --Debbie Crowley, who we know has helped very many people including some of our friends. I had no idea she had been nominated and she truly deserved it. I was pleased to be able to introduce Debbie to last year's winner, Gaye Doran, whom Mary and I had nominated.
