Sutherland to surf 2013 plus 'odd' pics!!
The 'odd' pics first.
One morning I saw a 'rainbow' on the hall wall. On inspection and by tracing the light, I found it was a spectrum produced by the sunlight passing through a multi-faceted crystal sphere, near a window in the morning sun. Very attractive.
Recently, our Bundeena Band conductor (conductress) Pip, brought her pet cockatoo to band practice. "Lady Madonna" is 51 years and has worked her way (outlived?) through three owners. Apparently she becomes ecstatic in the presence of bearded, bald men--the parrot--not our conductor (!) make of that what you will!
Today was The annual Sutherland to Surf competition--11kms. Alison and family were supposed to be in it, but an unexpected success at semis in basketball propelled Toby's team to the final, where they put up a spirited defence against a team of much larger boys.
The race tickets were taken up by Mary and a friend -Carol--who joined with our Caryl. The pics all taken in the finishing area or lead up to it.
Where was I? --I hear you ask--at the end, of course--playing clarinet in the freezing cold!
