Talloires to Nice

Yesterday was mad!

All except Jacqui and family departed at 8.30am for the Novotel in Annecy where Alison had booked the next night, to wait for Craig's discharge. We left their  bags there.

Rush to hospital (Michael had a flight check-in at 11.00am at Geneva) where we found Craig dressed and ready to leave. I went with Alison to the office where we collected all discharge papers then back to hotel to get the bags back while Craig managed to use a smartphone to book 4 places on swissair to Nice, on same flight as Mary and me,

Then a dash to get to Geneva airport, French side, stopping for diesel on the way. A motorcycle policemen there helped us find the fuel cap on the huge van!

Finally dropped the car at AVIS with minutes to spare for Michael for his flight to London. Jacqui and family arrived later but we never saw them as they were on the Swiss side! Very important to know about that if you travel to Geneva--especially for car hire costs.

At Geneva--with time to spare, some of us took the free train trip to the city for an hour or so. Lots of watch and chocolate shops and bicycles.

Short flight to Nice then we separated for our different accommodations.
