The Basin

One of my favoured paddle trips  with Probus kayakers.

It was choppy and we experienced a bit of sea kayaking with two capsizes-one in the bay and another near a bridge with fast running tide going through it. The pic is exiting the creek at the end of the paddle with me in front for once! The kayak on my left was the one who earlier had capsized at sea. Looks happier now.

I also include two works from State  high schools' final year art -one a very clever and detailed work of the 'French Horn' through the ages in intricate detail by a Sydney music Conservatorium student and a very blunt one, summing up the tensions over acknowledgement of the history of the invasion of Australia.' Recognise each other with respect, or live in this  continuous state nearing  mutual  hatred, going over all the wounds'

Also a picture of one of our lawns, which have grown like Billy-O with all the downpours we are having. It's very soft (for Buffalo grass!) and lush
