The North Downs way--Shere

After meeting at Guildford station, Clifford and I walked along part of the North Downs way, to the delightful village of  Shere on the small river Bourne.

We had a drink in the White Horse pub there and I encourage you to read the chalk board message.

Cliff obligingly put his head in the stocks there!

The scenery and weather was great.

This is our last full day here, so this is the last memory of the countryside. This blog, so full of events,  will be silent until probably Friday at soonest.
