Today a new children's book arrived in the post

Nothing unusual about that except that it was written by me and illustrated by daughter Caryl.

It was never a secret but it's been going on for years and with Caryl's now formidable sketching skills it was time to get the job done.

This is the proof copy and I will be reading it to Louis' pre-school group next Tuesday and maybe an older class as well.

It originated on bushwalks in the Warrumbungles when Jacqui complained of being 'tired'. She wasn't tired at all--just bored so I made up stories and this is one of them.

We'll judge the level of interest before deciding on the print run.
