Training weekend

I spent this weekend at Australia's oldest and largest training centre, with about 70 other leaders, doing Leader of Adults training -- a requirement to be responsible for the 25 or so leaders in our Scout Group.

Most importantly, the course also leads to Cert IV in business management --at a Nationally accredited level--very useful for many people in their careers.

You also learn a lot of useful skills for dealing with people in everyday life.

There were 5 of us from our Scout Group and this pic includes a Lilli Pilli leader, on the left; a soldier who served in Afghanistan and is now on special assignment with NSW Police.

It was all very interesting and you meet a great variety of people--a geophysicist, teachers, project managers and many other occupations.
