Tudor Vyne

Vyne House is a Tudor mansion of ancient origin but refurbished for Henry VIII as a centre for governance, Winchester being the storehouse for Royal treasure at that time (I think).

It has been refurbished again but retains Tudor oak carved panelling and other structures. There is also a Roman gold ring on display.

A lady near me said "if you have a brick we could grab it and do a runner'!!

The furnishings are, frankly, mostly depressing but the size would have suited the 16 children of the Chute family in the C18th
