I visited the scout hall on Venturer scout night tonight to invest some Joey and Venturer scouts and stayed on to find that I'd been left with them (11 mixed) while all other leaders had a meeting to discuss the Jamboree in Mayborough!
They made cupcakes and other sugar laden things (well some of them did anyway). They are a good natured bunch and it was good to mix with 14 to 17 year olds again for a couple of hours . They even cleaned up afterwards (well, some did!)

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
