Walk with Clifford to Little Hampden

We walked from the house along many woodland footpaths, to Little Hampden, where there is a splendid mansion (private) in huge grounds, home of Lord Ian Hampden Hollingden. There were signs on many stiles advertising legislative changes to the rules governing the grounds, which makes one suspicious. The language was all legal weasel-words. The whole area felt 'feudal'.

There was a gun warning sign, so we felt safe in responding in the traditional way, with our ancient catapults!
