Waste recycling and les Miserables!

In the morning, Roger and I had booked space on a recycling tour in the Shire.

An amazing hole, 200 metres long and 20 metres deep, will contain all the landfill for the next 7 years. Previous landfill operations have been bored and fitted with extraction tubes to yield methane gas which powers 26000 houses via a generator!  These are the black pipes --many sets of them.

In the evening we celebrated a friend's 60th birthday with a meal in town and visit to Les Miserables at the Capitol Theatre--always an amazing performance.
