Watford and Harrow

While Mary attended her college reunion in Penrith, I drove to Croxley, near Watford, where friends Rilla and Shirlaw live, near the Grand Union Canal and some lovely woodlands.

I met with Marion, we were at the same school 50 years ago. I insisted she be pictured with her BMW sports car!

Visiting my home town of Harrow (via the smart tube-train, no graffiti) I met with schoolfriend Ron.

Much had changed, except the banks and the churches--although there is now a huge mosque in the high street. I used to get the 140 bus to school and played in Hindes Road recreation ground.

Strange to think that the Australian construction company' Lend Lease', has it's HQ in Harrow now.

My old house looks as well cared for as ever--that was nice to see.
