Wentworth and Empress Falls

A walk well   organised by Russ of the the Upper Blue Mountains Bushwalking Club (UBMBWC) which required me to leave home fully packed at 6.20am for an 8.20am start.

Perfect cool cloudy weather for strenuous walking. About 9 of us in total.

First sight was a bowerbird nest with blue plastic  milk bottle rings scattered about.

The light was poor so some definition is lost in a number of scenes.  Old photos from 100 years ago had been placed along the way--men wearing suits and ties and women in full dresses, How they got down there and still look smart, is a mystery. There were many waterfalls and many steep ascents and descents, some using almost vertical, caged stairways--one here showing Eva.

We finished by the Conservation Hut, for those who know the area.
