Whitstable

A visit to some of Tom's relatives at Whitstable today, reminded me of when,as a student,  I crewed  in a firefly class yacht from nearby Tankerton, in the National Championship series --50 years ago! The yacht owner won the comp the year before but sadly not with me.

The beachfront, groins and shingle included,  was being used for wedding pics and it naturally reminded me of Cronulla--well, in a way.

The local lifeguards were having a slow day and the man in this pic told me his son is visiting Perth, in Oz,  and they wondered if he was coming back--funny how often you hear that.
