With Adrian's family in Lyon

Saturday evening we were met by Alexande and Christine and their son Robin and taken to a very nice restaurant which they knew very well, for a very nice meal--and a lot of entertaining talk with the owner, whom they also knew well. We took photos on one of the bridges over the Saone..

The next morning, we visited the  painted walls of St Vincent,

Alexandre and family then collected us and took us to a huge food hall in Lyons--Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse --truly amazing place, where we also stayed for a 'tasting'--like a Spanish Tapas, which was excellent..

We then went to the zoo in parc tete d'or--where it rained and I distinguished myself by using my poncho--which did NOT meet French dress standards!

We thwn drove to Place La Fourviere, to see the Basilica, where Alexandre and family left us, having devoted most of their day to be with us.
