Around Sydney, the tradition is to be at a barbeque or in the water--or both (but not at the same time!).

We went kayaking with some friends (Mary and Carol in a kayak) and another friend -Judy-- in her single kayak at her boatramp, where all our canoes and kayaks are kept.

There is also  a pool there which allowed me to test my waterproof camera again--pic of Mary.

Also-- a young family from the neighbouring house enjoying the warm sea water in the bay, off their boat-ramp.   The temperature today--about 30 Deg C and the sea temp about 23 Deg C.
