Music
Our band played at the Goulburn Conservatorium of music over a couple of days. There are many old fine buildings in town , relics of the booming wool and gold mining days. I did find time for a walk by the Wollondilly River and met some geese! I include a pic
Australian Holidays
As donors (minor ones!) to the national Trust we were invited to a free 'special' day out in the Southern Highlands with the National Trust to Harper Mansion and Retford Park, the latter containing a magnificent country residence last occupied by a media 'mogul' John Fairfax
Bushwalking
A stiff, circular walk form Gray's Point School, through National Park, across steep Temptation Creek (dry). Snack at Audley (disused) railway station and picture taken at Bungonia Lookout, looking over hacking river.

One of my favoured paddle trips with Probus kayakers. It was choppy and we experienced a bit of sea kayaking with two capsizes-one in the bay and another near a bridge with fast running tide going through it. The pic is exiting the creek at the end of the

Spending a few days with Kris, Michael and Lachie. We went to a large and popular Mexican restaurant one evening , in a converted warehouse or very large engineering workshop (could fit a train engine in it (!), so it was undecorated and a bit rough but good food and well patronised.

Kayaking
On our last Friday kayak trip, this was waiting for us on the beach near the ramp. Pretty but a bit deadly. Fortunately more dead than deadly! You can just see the actual 'barb' sitting on the tail. I showed it to a visiting swimming costume fashion designer

We visited Jacqui and family for this . I managed 2 pics from the tv of midnight fireworks and one shows a new spectacular colour arrangement they can achieve, the next the Harbour Bridge coming alight

Beach 'Cobanas' are all the rage this year. The grey-clad derelict-looking man in the foreground is my cousin John, but it could just as easily have been me! People in the water are all family. Kids building a sea 'wall' out of sand.

Mary progressing well now, back gardening in small doses and joined her choir for their recent concert performance. I continue to kayak most Fridays but don't blog them all as it gets repetitive. The garden benefits from the La Nina rain and here's some bright colours
