Charlotte Pass April 2021

After six years we make a nostalgic return ! Not to Pygmy Possum Lodge but Stilwell 'Hotel'--the only hotel in the area and very much a one star hotel but clean, warm, friendly  and good food. A seven hour drive from Sydney today.

We're here for only four days, having taken an impulsive decision when we discovered all our kids were either camping or chalet-ing for Easter in different places, while Jacqui and family are going  to Lake District. We're not sure which will be colder, here of the Lakes!

It was a surprise to see a helicopter so close to the Pass, but this is how they have to transport materials for work on the walking tracks etc.

Our first walk was just up to the pass, to see how much might have changes and reconnoitre for tomorrow.
