Day in Keppel Bay-- blogged by Jess and Toby
Beacuse of the weather we didn't go to Keppel Island but instead we went to Keppel Bay.
First, we visited an ocean yacht called Cheyenne which is sailing around the WhitSundays with a friend of uncle Will and Aunty Caryl.
When we finished looking around the boat we went to a beach in Yeppoon where we wrote our names in the sand and collected some pretty shells. Then we had some delicious sandwiches.
The next place we visited was Double Head Bay where we found a cute little beach perfect for swimming: there was also a great place to look out on the islands. Jess and me tricked Grandi and stole his hat.
On the way back we saw a shop that was shaped as a giant whale and we took a photo of uncle will's 4 litre Ford hire car.
We saw a monument to Captain Cook, that whistled in the wind.
Note from Bob --the pic of Mary is of her being treated to an expensive cocktail by Caryl and Will, after she banged her shin badly, chasing an Echidna!
Also--the weather turned out better than forecast--maybe we should have gone after all--c'est la vie.
