A well-known lagoon bordering the Hacking River and pentrating the National Park, the Basin can only be accessed fully at high tide.
At the entry bridge a couple on a boat kindly took a pic of me (wearing new Christmas blue rash shirt and yellow buoyancy jacket!) and at the extreme end of the final creek, a Canadian lady kindly took some more. In fact she said the place would make a beautiful picture when I was wondering whether to ask or not.

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
