Rerouted from our initial plan we had our break on a 'spoil heap' in the local hacking river. This was created post war by 'Ten pound Poms' who first settled here in the 1950's. Builders dumped their excavated soil by barge, at this point

I got up at 3.30am (!!) to go to the local ANZAC parade with the scout group then went on to Woronora with the kayak to paddle with 13 others to the Needles. Misty start bit very still and a pleasant temperature. Mary has had screws removed from right foot

Recent activities include ducklings in the Camellia Gardens near here, a Probus paddle to SW Arm then Saddle Gully Creek all at high tide, a pic of front garden then the raft built by the scouts on the spot in a race at the Annual Boree Regatta Weather not good

Jacqui asked for a day kayaking in the school holidays, so we wen t to Reid's Flat at Audley on the Hacking river and paddled to 'Muddy Creek' which ends in a small rapid and waterfall inside the Royal National Park. It was a perfect day

Yes, another one! It's actually red --a red 'Riot' . That makes 5 kayaks-two doubles and three singles. Key thing is -7 Kgs lighter so I can lift it myself. Travels well on water , bit 'bouncy' , much thinner walls of course. Latest synthetic laminate
