New kayak!

Today we collected the new Prijon Piave and within a couple of hours began a test paddle. Mary pronounced the result  as excellent, so that was a relief!

It is certainly the lowest weight kayak we have ever had and was stable and very comfortable, with convenient hatches and easy entrance/exit. Also, being fibreglass, noticeably faster in the water, due to less drag. We lashed out on new spraydecks as well so stayed dry and protected from sun on the knees--can be a big problem in summer at midday.

We passed by Maianbar 'Marina'--not quite the same as the Royal Woolooware Motor Yacht Club!
