For the princely sum of $5.50 I managed to engineer a 'step-mounted' sail on the new kayak. Today we paddled off against a gentle breeze, anticipating the return journey by sail. On the point of return, the wind died almost completely, until we reached our starting point. Typical!
Anyway, the sail stowing and mounting and retrieval all went well.
The pics are a bit uniform--you can't get much of a different perspective when you are in a kayak.

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
