At last we got there !

We spent the weekend with Kris , Mike and Lachlan then came back through Toronto to see cousin Margaret and enjoy a splendid lunch with her. It was really good to catch up again and exchange news. Her house is so comfortable and the site is now so much more developed, but not overcrowded, with a lot of surrounding bush and stream.

We saw Lachie in his special clothes for a cousin's Christening that weekend and lots of sights in Newcastle. Lachie was VERY pleased to see us and kept smiling. He was very happy. The city has undergone a rejuvenation and has a new 'life' about it.

We saw an old tram in a museum, looked at an exhibition of Newcastle's mining and steel making past  and went for a short trip on the new light rail.

The city centre park had a market day during the weekend and we met father Christmas --well, you have to really.

The weather wasn't too bad but any deficiency was more than compensated for by the excellent meals cooked by Kris, Michael and cousin Margaret!
