Paddle to the Basin plus Michael's dive

Catching a good high tide we paddled into the National Park at the 'Basin'- a large flooded valley which ends in a creek and waterfall. Very peaceful. We followed that with lunch at the Maianbar café before the paddle home. Weather absolutely ideal.

I found one or two local  signs plus a Sunday School room mural that looked very colourful. I now know that we beach the kayak at 'Constable's Point'!

Also included are a few pics that Michael took underwater with my camera, when scuba diving off Shiprock Marine Reserve, which we passed on the way to the Basin.
