A trip on a pleasant day, but where the wind sprang up to 30kph on the return--behind us, so the 50 minutes leisurely paddle out, was reduced to 30 of exciting kayak wave-surfing minutes return. Mary was not so impressed!
We found a neatly mown picnic spot (thanks NPWS!) but the oyster shell encrusted coastline made beaching difficult.
A very attractive pointsetier (spelling?)was growing nearby.

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
