Probus trip 25.03.2022 SW Arm
Another Friday where it DIDN'T rain on the trip--amazing.
La Nina is certainly a change from El Nino and almost certainly more intense due to Global warming.
Our daughter returned from the UK says she'll never complain about British weather again!
Left Wally's Wharf and paddled against outgoing tide to end of SW Arm, where, once again it was in flood -very rare here. About 14Kms return.
Had a break on a nearby sand bar--being low tide there was plenty of sand around and navigation was tricky.
Two people couldn't paddle -one having gall bladder removed and one with suspected Ross River fever (bit of a worry!) . Thinks he got bitten on our recent trip to mangroves on Georges River. Several others were sure it WOULD rain, so didn't book to come.
Coffee afterwards at D'Lish cafe where we saw the PM recently. He's looking a bit worried now the election's near and most people I speak to are looking for decent independents to vote for, or maybe the Greens. Existing govt needs a shock. They're giving out money like there's no tomorrow-- very cynical ploy to get re-elected.
