Some of the highlights.
We were taken to a bush centre where an aboriginal, now named Manuel, born into a tribe, taught us how to light a fire with two sticks ( I got a certificate for it!) , paint an aboriginal animal using traditional techniques and throw a spear. It was all a real highlight. We also fed baby wallabies.
In other places we crossed the rail line of the Ghan.
82nd Birthday - how did that happen?

Our local gallery , Hazelhurst, run by the council, hosted the year 12 indigenous art display which opened on Sunday with appropriate indigenous dances in Aboriginal costume . There were about 4o entries on display, all very good and some were for sale. The ones we liked had already been sold unfortunately.
