Rockhampton wedding travel and arrival
Friday morning, all eight of us, Caryl and Will, Alison and Craig with Jessica and Toby set off via Qantas and partner airline Alliance, for Brisbane and Rockhampton, making sure we were 'coffeed' and fed at both airports before final arrival, where we collected hire cars.
Queensland is famous for many things, one of which is every tradesman with a flat-top truck has at least one unrestrained dog on board and another are the 'high-set' houses --built off the ground on stilts to avoid snakes, crocodiles and cassowaries nibbling at you while you sleep!
In the evening, all the wedding guests for Alex and Margot's wedding gathered at Emu Plains RSL club for a sausgae--and also to celebrate, witha suitably large cake, the 60th birthday of the uncle of the bride-to-be.
