Michael, Kris and boys came down to Manly for a couple of nights and we met them at the Museum.

Many sections have been refurbished in a very creative and interactive way. Also in a very 'solid' way so that specimens couldn't be accidentally knocked - so backpacks could be worn. The 'paid entry' part was a new exhibition labelled 'Relics;  Mary and me decided not to risk going in, in case they wouldn't let us out again.

There was plenty of space and the exhibition descriptions were aimed at making  young people get excited about a career in archaeology or related science. It was very good. There were a couple of large rooms dedicated to infants who could play in aboriginal boats and wear animal costumes or do large simple jigsaws of serpents and possums . The kids loved it all.
