Tonkin to Cronulla

Today, as the sea continues to be very flat, I decided to go as far as Cronulla beach, a few kilometres away and necessitating going further out to sea than normal.

It was a good trip and I was able to use the sail for a time, in both directions.

There were lots of big jumping fish, near the old fishery research station, but very difficult to capture in a pic (second pic, on right)

I took a pic at Cronulla beach to prove I got there!

On the way back, there was a boat named 'Piet Hein'--anyone know what that means?

I also took a pic of the marina near the return landing ramp then another just after to show the ramp (with a boat on it) but mainly to show the brown wall in the background, of Cronulla rail station. The point of this is to show non-residents, that, as well as  having an open sea to explore, right at the ramp there is the rail line connecting with all of Sydney, the capital city and beyond. Extraordinary contrast- especially with the pelican eyeing me suspiciously on my return!
