Trip with Krishna and Prina
We adjusted the kayaks footrests at home then set off for Water Street ramp for Fisherman's bay, Maianbar. Krishna, in a single kayak for only the second paddle ever, became acquainted with the rudder control after a few interesting 'loops', while Prina had her first paddle ever and did very well.
We accessed the bay via a very narrow channel that I'd only learned about recently (after decades thinking Maianbar was cut off at low tides).
We stopped there for water and a chat and almost forgot about the receding tide , but just made it back, all in very pleasant weather.
Mary and myself hadn't met Nepalese people before, and on return we discussed family life, regional accents in the UK and Nepal and gardening in both countries . I had no idea that Nepal is home to 30 million citizens.
