A group from our Rover Crew and Venturer Unit will go to Africa in January for a short stay which will include working in an Africa community project for a week, travelling and white-water rafting on the Zambezi. This pic taken the night most of them had their innoculations-

A fundraising event for the Shire Band, we started at 7.00am last Sunday --I was on 'eggs' with Alf . We made a couple of thousand dollars in 4 hours--so worth the effort.
Home, Garden and Sydney

The weather stayed really fine and races were completed-grass skiing and tug-o' -war are just two. The final ceremony of awarding trophies and then home!

I spent this weekend at Australia's oldest and largest training centre, with about 70 other leaders, doing Leader of Adults training -- a requirement to be responsible for the 25 or so leaders in our Scout Group. Most importantly, the course also leads to Cert IV in business management

We Skyped with Jacqui and Louis last night--pictures of the computer screen not ideal. Today, after slaving in back garden all afternoon, I relaxed by my pond with cup of tea and took a couple of the views--including my feet on the Frangi Panni tree.

Today, in 35 Deg C heat, we joined a few friends for the 3/4 hour Burning Palms walk, downhill to the beach then passing through a fascinating palm jungle, then spectacular coastal views, including the sea-cliff bridge in the distance, then a lovely forested track returning to Garrawarah

With a sudden jump of temperature to 33 Deg C today, we set off for an hour to Oak Park for a dip in the 19 Deg C sea! Not quite Adriatic standard. Very bracing.
