There are two train stations in Vallance and we arrived at the largest and newest on with half an hour to spare, to realise that we were at the wrong one! After a hair-raising dash to the right one, we caught the train with minutes to spare. Not good

Today, in spite of the mountain mist, Mary was determined we walk to a prominent look-out-with spectacular views of the 'Grand Goulets'. Yesterday we stayed local and did some walks around La Chapelle, including a sort of 'arial' photo of Agnes and Brice house--being reconstructed after frozen pipe damage. The wild flowers here are stunning. I do not think these photos can replicate the variety and extent of them,

Today we visited some villages and towns outside the boundaries of the Vercors Region.
