Also strong water use restrictions in NSW. Using a bucket of washing machine water and watering can of tap water for rinse! Getting rid of ash and dust.
Kayaking
Just a short trip at high tide to Maianbar cafè, plus quick diversion the Basin, where we got driven by the current into a dead tree fallen at the bankside. A man pulled our kayak back out, in waist deep water. No big drama but a bit embarrassing!

Mary, myself, Caryl, Mike and Kris went to a local beach--boat harbour, for a swim, my first sea swim since my 'op'. It was great! Water temp was about 21Deg C , a bit cool but Ok. The beach may look deserted but but there hundreds of 4WD&

First solo paddle this year to café at Maianbar in perfect conditions. Paddled just beyond the bridge at The Basin--quite a few paddlers there, amongst the mangrovesfrom Bundeena kayaks.

For friends overseas who have concerns for us here in NSW, I attach a map. Right now, we are in the 'eye of the storm here in Sydney--smoke haze for a week, the sun appears orange especially late afternoon, everyone coughing and trying to keep in the house.
