A new front garden plant arrangement in our street, caught my eye. They are all natives and make the most colourful display of natives I think I have ever seen.

Brazen stunt!
Having decided to resurrect an old brazier, for winter marshmallow events, I went on to make a safety cage and then treated the family to some 'flashes' from some combustible powders that are in my Harry Potter box! All in honour of Mary's birthday, of course.

Band practise for real again!
After about 5 months non-contact we were allowed to use the large PCYC hall at Sutherland today. We were all distanced and entered and exited in separated fashion, no morning tea etc . This pic shows a part of the band --with distancing we couldn't all fit in

Trip to Bundeena
Finally a calm day (if somewhat cold!) so went over to Bundeena to get a coffee and reintroduce myself to my physio there. I stood at the door as I had wet feet and sand from the beach at Bundeena. It was nice to get over there again -and back

Post lock-down trip to Blue Mountains
At last the freedom to travel intra-State and stay overnight with cousin John and Penny. We did a visually stunning walk to Centennial Glen, passing many serious rock climbers then next morning a short walk through the burned out forest around the Fairfax Track to Govatt's Leap.

Kurnell sculptures
First a tree on the council strip, two doors down, which died in the drought, is felled. It took days. Huge tree. In cold, wet miserable Saturday post-lock-down weather, we went to nearby Kurnell to see the newly installed sculptures, consisting of a whale skeleton sculptured in bronze

Sandhills
For our Tuesday walk we (three) changed the habit of several years and went the opposite direction into the local sandhills--or what's left of them. Far less crowded. There's been a huge new housing development--in the background on the right side of this pic.
