The next day we went to Canowindra to see the world famous 'Age of Fishes' museum. The exhibits are all exceptional and unique specimens from a huge local dried out lake from the Devonian period. The display was very well done and often entertaining with added humorous comments.

We planned a three day circular tip from Tuesday, passing round Goulburn to Cowra. On arrival we visited the Japanese Gardens before checking into our Motel. The gardens were established as a gesture of peace between Australia and Japan because Cowra was the site of an Australian POW camp housing

At last the freedom to travel intra-State and stay overnight with cousin John and Penny. We did a visually stunning walk to Centennial Glen, passing many serious rock climbers then next morning a short walk through the burned out forest around the Fairfax Track to Govatt's Leap.
